Softball Recap: Lakewood Comes Up Short

Lakewood lost against Southeast back in April of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Spartans came up short against the Seminoles, falling 22-4. The defeat leaves the Spartans still looking for their first win of the season.

Lakewood's record is now 0-8. As for Southeast, with the win, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakewood will head out to take on Tarpon Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans are facing the Spongers at the right time seeing as the Spongers are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Southeast, they will venture away from home to challenge Booker at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tornadoes have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 22.89 runs per game on average), something the Seminoles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
