Recap: Crossland Cavaliers vs. Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South
The Crossland Cavaliers lost against Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Crossland was dealt a 73-43 loss at the hands of Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South.
Leading Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South to victory were Ava Blue and Jaedyn Mcdaniel . Blue scored 19 points, while Mcdaniel scored 22 points. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for her. Cayla Wiley was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Crossland's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-2.
Crossland will square off against Central at TBD on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Central is ranked 223rd, while Crossland is ranked 222nd). As for Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South, they will be playing in front of their home fans against International High School at Largo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. International High School at Largo comes in on a streak of failing to score more than eight points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
