Baseball Recap: CSTHEA's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

CSTHEA posted their closest victory since March 17th on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Whitwell Tigers, sneaking past 4-2.

Bryce Daniell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because CSTHEA is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 4-9-1 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Deklan Burgess, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

CSTHEA's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-10-1. As for Whitwell, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-9-1.

CSTHEA has already played their next game, a 17-0 loss against Soddy Daisy on the 27th. As for Whitwell, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-3 defeat against Chattanooga Christian on the 25th.
