Softball Recap: Jefferson Democrats vs. Torres Toros
Jefferson and Torres squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Jefferson had to settle for second. They lost 12-0 to the Torres Toros. Considering the last time Jefferson couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.
For Torres' part, they got a big performance out of Lori Servin, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Melanie Lozano, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.
Jefferson has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10-1 record this season. As for Torres, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-5.
