Baseball Recap: Wade Hampton Comes Up Short

Wade Hampton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Riverside Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent loss being a 4-3 defeat on Friday.

Blake Davis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 4-for-4.

Wade Hampton's record now sits at 4-9. As for Riverside, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Wade Hampton will take on Eastside at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Riverside, they will face off against James F. Byrnes at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rebels have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
