Soccer Recap: St. Augustine Triumphs

St. Augustine kept a clean sheet against St. Joseph Academy on Thursday. They skirted past the St. Joseph Academy Flashes 1-0. The Yellow Jackets' winning goal came courtesy of Keira DiPrimo.

St. Augustine used a slightly different lineup for their bout with St. Joseph Academy. And. DiPrimo made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.

The victory made it two in a row for St. Augustine and bumps their season record up to 7-6-1. As for St. Joseph Academy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5.

St. Augustine will host Bishop Snyder at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. St. Augustine's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for St. Joseph Academy, they are taking a road trip to face off against Paxon School For Advanced Studies at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
