Baseball Recap: Atrisco Heritage Academy Comes Up Short

Atrisco Heritage Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 12-2 to the Cibola Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 last Wednesday.

Atrisco Heritage Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ignacio Quintana, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Atrisco Heritage Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Cibola, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Atrisco Heritage Academy and Cibola will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Atrisco Heritage Academy will challenge rival Los Lunas at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cibola is set to square off against their familiar foe Cleveland at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
