Basketball Recap: Triton Central Falls Despite Big Games from Silas Blair and Eli Sego

Triton Central lost against Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Triton Central Tigers took a 58-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter Raiders.

Triton Central's loss came despite strong showings from Eli Sego and Silas Blair. Sego posted 12 points along with six assists and six rebounds, while Blair went 5-for-9 to rack up 14 points and five boards. Sego is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last nine games he's played. Cael Butler was another key player, going 5-for-11 en route to 13 points and six rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marshawnn Henderson, who went 7-for-10 on his way to 20 points. Another player making a difference was Devin Bolden, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards.

Triton Central has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season. As for Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Triton Central will welcome Monrovia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter, they will host Covenant Christian at 7:30 p.m. on February 21st.
