Volleyball Recap: Oconomowoc Takes a Loss

If Oconomowoc was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Oak Creek last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raccoons took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Arrowhead Warhawks on Wednesday.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-17, 17-25, 25-21.

Cody Haar paced Oconomowoc's offense, picking up nine kills. Haar got some help from Nate Karnowski and his 29 assists. Ben Gricius controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Arrowhead's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alex Harker-Murray, who had 16 assists and five digs. That's the most assists Harker-Murray has posted over his last six matches. Ethan Fernandez also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

Oconomowoc has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Arrowhead, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Oconomowoc has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Dominican on the 25th. As for Arrowhead, they will square off against Madison West at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
