The Hialeah Gardens Gladiators entered their tilt with the Coral Gables Cavaliers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Hialeah Gardens secured a 61-56 W over Coral Gables on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Hialeah Gardens was led to victory by Khalil Volel and Sebastian Pupo. Volel scored 18 points along with nine rebounds, while Pupo scored 29 points along with seven assists. The game was Pupo's 15th in a row with at least ten points. Justin Munoz was another key contributor, scoring four points.
Hialeah Gardens is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Coral Gables, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-5.
Hialeah Gardens and Goleman will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Coral Gables, they will square off against Palmetto at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
