Basketball Recap: New Waverly Comes Up Short

New Waverly was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Shepherd Pirates and fell 69-33. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-14.

New Waverly's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Shepherd, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

New Waverly will take on China Spring at 6:20 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shepherd, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Coldspring-Oakhurst at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday.
