Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Crawford). They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rosebud-Lott Cougars on Friday, sneaking past 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pirates have posted since March 19, 2024.

Ryan Yocham was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Kade Smith, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Crawford's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Rosebud-Lott, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2-1.

Coming up, Crawford will square off against Florence at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Rosebud-Lott, they will take on Thorndale at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Thorndale's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Rosebud-Lott's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
