Softball Recap: Titusville Drops Season-High Score on Palm Bay

With a playoff win on the line, Titusville rose to the challenge on Monday. Everything went their way against the Palm Bay Pirates as they made off with a 24-9 victory. The Terriers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Titusville got a massive performance out of Myriah Torregrosa, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Torregrosa has posted since back in April of 2024. Makylie Taylor was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.

Titusville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .846. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Palm Bay only posted an OBP of .435.

Titusville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-14 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Palm Bay, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Looking ahead, Titusville will face off against Astronaut at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Terriers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the War Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. Palm Bay does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
