Baseball Game Preview: Sturgeon Bay Clippers vs. Algoma Wolves

The Sturgeon Bay Clippers will head out on the road to face off against the Algoma Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Sturgeon Bay lost 13-3 to Kewaunee on Tuesday. The Clippers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Reedsville hit Algoma with a six-run first inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wolves came up short against the Panthers, falling 14-4.

Cal DeMeuse was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Braeden Leist, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Sturgeon Bay's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Algoma, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

Sturgeon Bay came out on top in a nail-biter against Algoma in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Clippers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
