Baseball Recap: Eight Straight Home Victories for South San Francisco

After only two runs in their last contest, South San Francisco made sure to put some runs up on the board against Westmoor on Tuesday. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Rams. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won 16 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Oscar Reyes was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Keith, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

South San Francisco always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westmoor only posted an OBP of .231.

South San Francisco pushed their record up to 20-5 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Westmoor, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

South San Francisco will have a chance to go back-to-back against Westmoor: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
