Soccer Game Preview: Temple vs. Copperas Cove

The Temple Wildcats will face off against the Copperas Cove Bulldawgs at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Friday just wasn't the day for Temple's offense. They came up short against Bryan on Friday, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 492nd, while the Vikings are ranked 232nd).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Copperas Cove). Their defense stepped up to hand Shoemaker an 8-0 shutout on Friday. The Bulldawgs haven't had any issues with Wolves recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Temple has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. Copperas Cove's win bumped their record up to 11-4.
