Basketball Recap: Wellington-Napoleon Takes a Loss

Wellington-Napoleon lost against Kingsville back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Wellington-Napoleon came up short against Kingsville, falling 67-42. Wellington-Napoleon has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Wellington-Napoleon still got an impressive performance from Brody Best, who shot 42% from the field on his way to 17 points and four steals. Best is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Mefferd, who posted eight points.

Wellington-Napoleon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Kingsville, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Wellington-Napoleon and Lawson will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on the 15th. As for Kingsville, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Holden at 7:30 p.m. on the 16th.
