Football Recap: Western Dubuque Falls to Wahlert in First Game of Season

Western Dubuque unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 10-6 to the Wahlert Golden Eagles on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats of the 28-16 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Western Dubuque will venture away from home to square off against Xavier at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wahlert, they will challenge Anamosa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
