Flag Football Recap: Portal Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Portal can now relate to. They fell just short of the Locust Grove Wildcats by a score of 14-12 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia flag football rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Wildcats are ranked 24th).

Portal's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Locust Grove, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-1.

As of now, neither Portal nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
