Softball Recap: Chino Hills Snags Tenth Win in Last 11 Games

Chino Hills got themselves on the board against Upland on Wednesday, but Upland never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Highlanders/Scots with a sharp 8-0 victory. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

The result came thanks to Nadia Juarez's shutout, as she gave up just seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brett Lambrecht, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Leilani Allen also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Chino Hills has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Upland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-7.
