Baseball Recap: Providence Academy Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Providence Academy's offense. They lost 15-0 to the Greenland Pirates on Monday. The game marked the first time this year in which the Patriots were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Providence Academy and nudges their season record down to 6-3. As for Greenland, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Providence Academy will head out to square off against Mountainburg at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dragons have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Greenland, they will square off against Prairie Grove at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
