Highland dropped their record down to 20-10 on Saturday, which also ended the team's eight-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Pinnacle Pioneers by a score of 2-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Hawks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Cambria Chacon was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
