Softball Recap: Firebaugh Takes a Loss

Firebaugh lost to Bellflower back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Falcons fell 9-4 to the Buccaneers. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Crystal Pulido made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Camila Curumaco, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Firebaugh's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Bellflower, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Firebaugh will host Dominguez at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 21.2 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bellflower, they will be playing at home against Norwalk at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
