Basketball Recap: Stanford/Geyser/Denton Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Stanford/Geyser/Denton, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They came out on top against the Foothills Community Christian Falcons by a score of 36-28 on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Bearcats: when they faced off against the Falcons two weeks ago, they had to take a 47-25 loss.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kelcie Fulbright, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Hass, who put up seven points.

The victory got Stanford/Geyser/Denton back to even at 1-1. As for Foothills Community Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.

Stanford/Geyser/Denton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Foothills Community Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Great Falls Central Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
