Basketball Recap: Adrian Piles Up the Points Against Warsaw

Adrian won the last time they faced Warsaw and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Adrian Blackhawks breezed by the Warsaw Wildcats to the tune of 69-36. That looming 69-36 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Blackhawks yet this season.

Despite the loss, Warsaw had strong showings from Trent Downing, who went 6 for 9 en route to 12 points and five rebounds, and Brennen Slavens, who posted nine points and five boards. That's the most boards Slavens has posted since back in February of 2024.

Adrian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.3 points. As for Warsaw, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Adrian will head out to challenge Sherwood at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Warsaw, they will take on Holden at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
