Basketball Recap: Lake Station Edison Comes Up Short

Lake Station Edison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 70-50 to the Hanover Central Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Fighting Eagles of the 64-43 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Lake Station Edison's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Hanover Central, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Station Edison has already played their next match (against River Forest), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hanover Central will venture away from home to challenge Andrean at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Andrean's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
