Soccer Game Preview: Cascade vs. Monticello

Cascade is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Monticello a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Cascade Cougars will look to defend their home pitch against the Monticello Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a proper cat-fight when Cascade took on Tipton on Friday. The Cougars fell 4-2 to the Tigers.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Monticello and Anamosa have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Panthers lost 7-0 to the Raiders.

Monticello's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Cascade, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Cascade took their victory against Monticello in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-1 score. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
