Volleyball Recap: Park Vista Takes a Loss

After flying high against Lake Worth last Wednesday, Park Vista came back down to earth. The Cobras fell just short of the Palm Beach Central Broncos by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cobras of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Park Vista took Palm Beach Central into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-20, 21-25, 17-25, 15-11.

Natalie Suarez was the offensive standout of the match as she had 16 digs and two assists. Those 16 digs gave her a new career-high. Savannah Andrade-Guthrie also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Park Vista's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-4. As for Palm Beach Central, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7.

Coming up, Park Vista will venture away from home to square off against Dreyfoos School of the Arts at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Palm Beach Central, they will square off against American Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
