Basketball Recap: Gianni Mcintire Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat East Wake + How To Watch

After losing to East Wake the last time they met, Enloe decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Eagles walked away with a 60-49 victory over the Warriors on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Enloe's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gianni McIntire led the charge by putting up 13 points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave McIntire a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was Gui Wilkins, who posted 13 points and four steals.

East Wake's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eric Johns, who shot 86% from the field on his way to 13 points and five rebounds. Norman Eleby was another key player, earning four points in addition to seven boards and six assists.

Enloe's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for East Wake, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Enloe will welcome Southeast Raleigh at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Wake, they will head out to challenge Clayton at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
