Kameron Pugh commands the offense for Bulldogs win

Recap: Hardin-Central Bulldogs vs. Winston Red Birds

Even though the Hardin-Central Bulldogs have not done well against the Winston Red Birds recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Hardin-Central snuck past Winston with a 52-46 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Hardin-Central.

Hardin-Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kameron Pugh, who scored 26 points along with five rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pugh has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Drew Hawkins, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and six steals.

Hardin-Central's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Winston, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hardin-Central won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Higbee at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th. One thing working in Higbee's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Winston, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mercer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
