Greenfield-Central had won 17 straight home games dating back to last season and Braylon Mullins did his part to make it 18 on Saturday. Everything went the Greenfield-Central Cougars' way against the Greenwood Woodmen as the Greenfield-Central Cougars made off with a 70-49 win thanks in part to Mullins, who went 15-for-21 to rack up 44 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. That's the most points he has posted since back in January of 2024.

Michael Johnson was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with ten points and nine boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last 15 games he's played.

Greenwood lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Parker Doolin, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Sam Thompson also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Greenfield-Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.6 points over those games. As for Greenwood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

Greenfield-Central has already played their next match, a 64-60 victory against Franklin Central on the 11th. As for Greenwood, they will head out to square off against Plainfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Greenwood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.5 points per game this season.
