Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ella Lindgren and Finley Kelley Lead Neenah to Victory

Neenah won the last time they faced Appleton East and things went their way on Saturday too. The Rockets came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rockets.

Neenah not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Appleton East between 19 and 20 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-19.

Leading Neenah to victory were Finley Kelley and Ella Lindgren. Kelley had 12 assists and seven aces, while Lindgren had nine digs and one assist. Those seven aces gave Kelley a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Neenah was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in nine consecutive contests.

Neenah's victory bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Appleton East, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-20 record this season.
