Softball Recap: Liberty Ranch's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Liberty Ranch came tearing into Tuesday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the El Dorado Cougars with a sharp 13-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won eight matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Laura Quinn tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Khali Barrantes and Xiana Juarez did most of the damage at the plate: Barrantes went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Juarez went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave Juarez a new career-high. Carlie Perez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Liberty Ranch pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for El Dorado, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-12-1.
