Baseball Recap: Caverna Colonels vs. Fort Knox Eagles
Caverna lost against Fort Knox back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Caverna Colonels lost 9-1 to the Fort Knox Eagles. Caverna has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Phillip Broers and Caleb Burriss stepped up to the plate in a big way. Broers went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and an RBI, while Burriss scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.
Caverna's loss dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Fort Knox, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-18.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caverna will face off against Thomas Nelson at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Fort Knox, they will head out on the road to take on Cornerstone Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
