Soccer Game Preview: Hillcrest vs. Tooele

The Hillcrest Huskies will venture away from home to face off against the Tooele Buffaloes at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hillcrest's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Friday, Hillcrest needed a bit of extra time to put away Cottonwood. They had just enough and edged out the Colts 2-1. The win was some much needed relief for Hillcrest as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

William Rogers and Bridger Healy scored both of Hillcrest's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Tooele made sure to put some goals up on the board against Jordan last Friday. They blew past the Beetdiggers 6-0. The game marked Tooele's most dominant victory of the season.

Hillcrest picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-5. As for Tooele, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Hillcrest came up short against Tooele when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Huskies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
