Demetrius "Mj" Dowdy Dazzles in Winder-Barrow Victory

Starting off the list is Winder-Barrow's Demetrius "Mj" Dowdy, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Dowdy rushed for 124 yards and three touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 124 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Dowdy must have Loganville's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Dowdy rushed for 246 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Red Devils duked it out back in September of 2023.

He has become a key player for Habersham Central: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 80 receiving yards, but 0-4 otherwise.

On the year, Whittington has caught 9 touchdowns while averaging 100 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he had five receiving touchdowns.
