Preview: Orange Lions vs. Bard Early College Raptors
The Orange Lions will be playing at home against the Bard Early College Raptors at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Orange focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday.
On Friday, Orange was the victim of a tough 63-41 defeat at the hands of Hawken. While losing is never fun, Orange can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 536th, while Hawken is ranked 154th).
Orange might have lost, but man, Ernie Pryor was a machine: he dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds. That was a full 48.8% of Orange's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Luke Daberko was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Bard Early College waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Campus International 59-18 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Bard Early College has managed all season.
Orange has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Bard Early College, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-12.
