After flying high against New Knoxville last Saturday, Jackson Center came back down to earth. The Jackson Center Tigers fell just short of the Wapakoneta Redskins by a score of 44-41 on Saturday. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Jackson Center's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Wapakoneta, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.

Jackson Center and Wapakoneta could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Jackson Center will face off against Russia at 7:30 p.m. on Friday down 95 places (113 vs. 18). Meanwhile, Wapakoneta (ranked 502nd) will meet Shawnee (ranked 22nd) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
