Softball Recap: Whitney Takes a Loss

Whitney fell victim to Troy and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Trojans, falling 15-0. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost seven in a row.

Whitney's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8-1. As for Troy, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Whitney is set to face off against their familiar foe West at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Troy will take on rival McGregor at 7:00 p.m. on the 8th. Troy is on a ten-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), McGregor a six-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
