Wheatland hadn't done well against Buffalo recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Wheatland Bulldogs snuck past the Buffalo Bison with a 30-26 victory. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 45-30 win the Bison walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Despite the loss, Buffalo still got an impressive performance from Brady Engling, who posted eight points in addition to nine rebounds and three blocks. Engling has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times he's played. Zayne Huber was another key player, putting up three points and three steals.

Wheatland's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Buffalo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-6.

Coming up, Wheatland will face off against Glenrock at 4:30 p.m. on February 15th. As for Buffalo, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 57-40 win against Torrington on the 8th.
