Softball Recap: W.S. Neal Comes Up Short

W.S. Neal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Florala Wildcats, falling 15-5. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly ten runs.

W.S. Neal got a good showing from Paris Howard, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Howard has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, W.S. Neal saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Dubose, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

W.S. Neal's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Florala, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. W.S. Neal will head out to take on Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Florala, they will venture away from home to face off against McKenzie at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
