Northeast won the last time they faced Cherryvale and things went their way on Saturday too. The Vikings came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chargers, sneaking past 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Northeast got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 19-25, 25-22.

Northeast's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Cherryvale, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13-1.

Northeast has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Chetopa on the 20th. As for Cherryvale, they are taking a road trip to face off against Fredonia on Tuesday.
