Recap: Affton Cougars vs. Windsor Owls
The Affton Cougars lost against the Windsor Owls back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Affton fell 59-49 to Windsor. Affton was down 51-29 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Affton's loss came despite strong showings from Anna M daughtry and Amelia Wilson. M daughtry scored 11 points along with eight assists and six rebounds, while Wilson scored 22 points along with seven steals. That's the first time this season that M daughtry posted eight or more assists. Emma Grana was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Affton dropped their record down to 5-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Windsor, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-5.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Hancock the next time they take the court. Affton will host Hancock at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while Windsor will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
