Softball Game Preview: Kimball Knights vs. Roosevelt Mustangs

The Kimball Knights are taking a road trip to take on the Roosevelt Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Roosevelt took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Kimball, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, everything went Kimball's way against Madison as Kimball made off with a 15-3 victory. That looming 15-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Knights yet this season.

Alissa Talamantes was a standout: she scored three runs and stole eight bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimberly Gonzales, who scored two runs and stole six bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Roosevelt played against Lincoln last Saturday and lost via forfeit.

Roosevelt is on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2. As for Kimball, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
