Chatham Central came out on top against Eastern Randolph on Friday thanks in part to Maeson Smith's efforts. Nobody could stop Smith as she tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off nine hits. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.

Looking ahead, Smith and Chatham Central will welcome Bartlett Yancey at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
