Basketball Recap: Rex Grabowski Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Haddam-Killingworth

Valley Regional lost to Haddam-Killingworth back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Valley Regional Warriors managed a 59-55 victory over the Haddam-Killingworth Cougars.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Valley Regional to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rex Grabowski, who went 7-for-12 en route to 21 points along with seven rebounds and six blocks. Valley Regional is 2-1 when Grabowski posts 20 or more points, but 5-11 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Tavis Filacchione, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 14 points and six boards.

Valley Regional's win bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Haddam-Killingworth, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Valley Regional wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-62 victory against East Windsor on the 14th. Haddam-Killingworth has also already played their next match (against Ellington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
