Basketball Recap: Castleford Comes Up Short

Castleford won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Wednesday. They were outmatched by the Carey Panthers and fell 48-21. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-30 back in January.

Despite the loss, Castleford still got an impressive performance from Oaklee Skinner, who went 6 for 8 on her way to 16 points and five rebounds. Skinner is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

Castleford now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Carey, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Castleford nor Carey have any future games scheduled.
