Soccer Recap: Winfield Takes a Loss

Winfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Roosevelt Roughriders.

Winfield's goal came courtesy of Nicholas Gebert, which was the first he's scored this season.

Winfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Roosevelt, they now have a winning record of 1-0-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winfield will challenge Union at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Roosevelt, they will head out to challenge University City at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
