Basketball Recap: Jade Richter's Big Game Can't Quite Lead North Knox over South Knox

North Knox and South Knox squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but North Knox had to settle for second. They fell to the South Knox Spartans 58-52. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 78-49 back in December of 2024.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jade Richter, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Those ten boards gave Richter a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alex Mckinley, who went 5 of 9 en route to 13 points and five rebounds.

North Knox's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for South Knox, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-2.

North Knox does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Knox, they will take on Lanesville at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in South Knox's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
