Basketball Game Preview: North Park Wildcats vs. Rangely Panthers

North Park is 1-8 against Rangely since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The North Park Wildcats just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Rangely Panthers at 3:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

North Park came up into this matchup off a tough 22-point loss on Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of West Grand by a score of 42-40 on Friday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Rangely was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against Vail Mountain, falling 65-35.

Rangely's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for North Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

North Park strolled past Rangely in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 56-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Park since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
